Beat Blox

Beat Blox is a an electronic instrument build in LEGO and is a product of the course ‘Advanced Physical Computing’. It consists of four identical bricks that fits in the four holes on the main hub. Each hole represents a different style of beat (bass, drums, interlude and rythmic), and each brick can trigger a different beat according to how it is faced, thereby resulting in 16 different base melodies. To help with timing of the placing, a visual metronome changes every second.

The main hub is then wirelessly connected to another hub, that connects to a computer. The only reason it is wireless, was to experiment with the different technologies available through the course.
